Yearly Surgery

So, its July! You know what that means! Time for knee surgery!!! Yes. This July 25th, I will be going in for my third knee surgery. Another wasted summer, of hopping and gaming. Oh well. I think I’m almost enjoying not feeling the need to do things just because its summer. I think I’m actually relaxing and getting a break. Why do I update this? No one reads it. The one person who did, got a different blog thing. Almost makes this feel incredibly pointless and irrelevant. Fantastic.

Boy, has it been a while. I’ve been on an adventure. An adventure full of drugs, sex, and rock-n-roll! But alas, I can not remember all of it, for as we speak, I am hungry. In other news the bird has left the nest as they say, and went to New York. Whereupon it met up with some sexy birds and enjoyed a few adult beverages. By “a few” I mean, until the bird was black-out drunk. Silly bird. I feel like the comma I put in between mean and until is a comma splice, let me know what you think.

School is almost back in session, and one can’t feel too excited about all the homework and tests that awaits them in the fall, however, one could use this time to better themselves and prepare for the forthcomming quarter. Although this most likely won’t happen. I’ve recently invested in “Cornrow Magic” and I feel like this was a good purchase, my hair is shiny and smooth.

This summer was full of trials and tribulations that needed to be overcome. Here is a little list:

1. Fix my knee

2. Begin walking

3. Get revenge on those who called me “Hop-along-Hoople”

4. Turn 21….again?

5. pay the rent

All of these things have been somewhat accomplished. As of now I am walking and doing so like a beast. Revenge was had on Friday in the form of hot wet bucket water on the heads of those who wronged me. 21 is still a few weeks away. And as for paying the rent, I feel like this time around I may or may not need to sell myself on the corner for the money. I will also update you on that.

For now I leave you with this:

Birthday is comming. School is comming. Summer went by too fast. Didn’t really feel much like summer either. Wasn’t very hot. Mostly cloudy, rainy, and chilly. Going to Vegas for a few days. Supposed to be 100 out there. So we’ll finally enjoy a few hot days of summer. I’m not going to have a birthday party this year though. It seems pointless since most of my friends won’t even be here. Kate, Willis, and Adam are all gone. Which means that Dave won’t come if he doesn’t have a ride, and usually amjed and Vainisi come because Adam is here. And Kate, well it really isn”t the same without her. The living situation is not as good as it could be. But that should be changing very soon with Jen moving in. Who knows what will happen then. Most likely it will just be better. A lot better. I’m excited for school. I really enjoy it. I do not enjoy homework though. Oh well. Life is pretty good lately. I’ve done so much this summer. I can honestly say I did not waste it at all. This summer was definately one of the best I’ve ever had. Next summer will be better, when Kate comes back. If she comes back. The kids started school again so I only work 230-6 again. It’s nice having a break before I start school again. I have less than 2 weeks of no homework. I’ll just savor the last few days I have.

A friend of mine passed away about 2 weeks ago now. He was shot and killed over something as stupid as drugs. wtf? He was only 18, just graduated high school, he had a good job. He was a nice kid. It doesnt seem real, or fair. I worked with him for the past year. He was always really cool to me, and we talked a lot. Its sudden. Way to sudden. And it really freaks me out. The part that freaks me out the most is he was shot, then tried to get away in his car before he crashed. What do you think about in that moment? do you panic? do you think your going to make it? do you have hope? I think about how terrified he must have been, and it makes me want to cry. This is one kid who really really did not deserve this. A few years before this he lost his mom to cancer, and you never would have known it. He was a very upbeat out going guy. There were so many people at the wake, its weird to see how many lives one person can affect. It’s been on my mind since its happened, and i really just can’t get over it. I’m really sad about it. Just really sad. It was too soon for him. Way to soon. R.I.P. John — I didn’t know you that well, but I’ll miss you.

Well now that I got that outta the way we had our first ever LAN party here on saturday. It was pretty sweet i stayed up only until about 3 kevin was up till 530 so im guessing thats when everyone else called it quits. To be fair it started at 330 that day so it was pretty long. A lot of people showed up and I guess were going to do it again, soon hopefully. Yesterday I went to the taste and got some awesome spinach pizza and an irish egg roll (which was fantastic). I’ve already got a kickin’ tan going on, and ive been going to the pool almost everyday swimming laps trying to get into shape. Next weekend is the 4th so im going to my cousins and then some party with Jen, and on that sunday we’re going to Six Flags, so thats going to be sweet. I can’t believe that July is already 2 days away. Summer is going by wayy to fast.

I’m also really sad about Michael Jackson. I really did grow up listening to him. The first CD I ever bought was M.J. All this death lately has really freaked me out. It doesnt make me appreciate life more like it does for some people, it just really really freaks me out. Its just weird I guess.

That means im up for dates…haha? face. Anyways, went to the Shedd Aquarium today. It was sweet, real nice day. I’ve been so swamped this quarter with school, either i was writing papers OR reading 5 books at once. totally lame. It’s still not over yet. Which is even more lame. Other than that not much else has been going on, last weekend some peeps came over, me and jen camfrogged it up and danced to amanda palmer. Im going to see prodigy on the 23rd and then on the 30th were going to see holy fuck. I’m trying to get a field trip approved at work to go to the Harry Potter exhibit downtown, that way i can go for free, plus i think the kids will love it. Well I did it. The thing you (Kate) specifically told me not too…I read twilight, and I rented the movie…..AND i hate to admit it, but i really liked it. alot. Thats all ill say about it though, cuz I’m sure you’re probably rolling your eyes right now. Don’t worry I’m not like obsessed with it. Work is still the same mostly just playin games and gettin paidd. Tomorrows agenda is just more reading on top of more reading. Today was my free day. Well in the end i gotta do what i do and stay a crooked nigga too.

I’m really glad its the end of the semister. Even though next semister will be totally lame. I’m taking philosophy in education, some english writing class, u.s. history, and religion. How effing gay. Other than that I plan on playing a ton of video games over my spring break, also have to start moving, im moving into garys old room, and hes taking his old room back to make room for cora. It’s going to be weird but good i think. plus ill have 2 closets for all my crap. awesome. I’ve been trying to cut back on l4d, and other games, i’ve been playing way to much. I’ve been getting tons of shows off netflix like my so called life (kate, you would hate it) and freaks and geeks, which has its moments. We are currently watching the 3rd season of heroes, its pretty sweet. I got a free java monster energy drink the other day at school, and i figured it would be totally gross, but i was wrong. It was awesome, and gave me a ton of energy. I’m looking forward to the new sims that comes out in June, that’ll be sweet. I’m going to make Kevin buy it for me. Since its like 70 for the collectors edition. We changed some things around here. In the front room we switched the tv and the small couch, and now theres a ton more room, its weird. I also moved around kevins room. So now that looks bigger, and it took him a whole day to make it a mess again. I dont know why i bother. Gerald is still here somewhere. Kevin saw him yesterday by the dishwasher. He’s quick. We set up a trap for him, but we didnt catch him yet. I’ve been letting some people from work borrow how i met your mother, and they all love it. which is sweet cuz now i can make jokes from the show, and people actually get it. high five! I went to medieval times a few weeks ago, it was sweet we got like a whole chicken, soup, garlic bread, ribs, beer, and pop, and it didnt cost me a dime. Kate, I found your slippers, they were under kevins bed. I washed them.

New Paranoia

So I’ve recently realized that i have a new found paranoia. Im terrified that someone is going to just steal from me. For example, after new years i thought i left my coat downstairs, and so when i went looking through the coats and i didnt find mine, my first initial reaction was and i quote “great, someone stole my coat.” Then i thought well maybe someone just took it on accident. My wallet was in my coat so i was kind of freaking out. Then I came up stairs and sure enough there it was, wallet and all. Now when I’m at the train im afraid to pull out my phone or ipod, in the fear that someone will just grab it and run. Do you see what Jordan Rowe did to me? made me a damn paranoid freak.

Other than that though Christmas was awesome. Kates here. I needlessly bought a new computer, soley for gaming purposes. So don’t ever let me bs you by saying its for school, cuz it wasnt. It was just a reason to justify spending $500 on something that i didnt really need. But to be fair before i did that i did pay off my credit card, payed my rent for the next 3 months, and payed my phone bill. So after paying all those bills i wanted something nice for myself. Plus now ill be able to play the sims 3 when that comes out in feb.

I got new boots and a jacket for christmas, i look fancy. Kevins been in my room while kates been here, and he is such a pig. I’m constantly cleaning my room. I’m going to miss kate when she goes, but at least ill get my room back. god he is a slob. and smelly. dont forget smelly. And he drools. Just sayin’.

Started school monday. This quarter will most likely be a breeze, if i could only wake myself up at 645am, and not ditch my first class. Yeah, I did that already. But I really do love school. I feel like I’m really accomplishing something, and everyday when im there and i first get off the train and start walking towards the campus I get this weird feeling of accomplishment that makes me smile like a crazy weirdo, and dammit I am proud of myself, I’m awesome.

So the party was a lot of fun, until that faggot stole my ipod. Everyone had a good time, and everyone got along pretty well. It really sucks that that kid ruined the rest of the night, but everyone was really nice about the whole situation. Im kind of embarrassed about how upset i got though. I really did not want everyone to see me so upset, but i couldnt help it. Another ipod is on the way, but im still sad about the whole situation. I really hope that kid gets whats comming to him. On a lighter note its only 19 days till kate comes home. And only 19 days until i can put up the christmas tree. By the way Kate, kevin thought of a neat christmas present for you. If you really pressure me about it ill tell you. But for now im just going to ask you to make room in your suitcase for it, or we could just sent it there. It’s up to you. Cora is definatley moving in. She’s already asked us if it would be okay for her to paint the small room. But I’m not sure exactly when she’s moving in, she still needs to get car. Other than that, the rest of the weekend has been pretty lame, I wasnt really in the mood to go out and do anything cool. I know that it’s just an ipod, but it just really sucks being stolen from. Especially when your nothing but nice to the person who did it. Did i tell you that he even shook my hand on the way out? that was before i knew it was gone. Well thats enough about that. Im just going to go not listen to my ipod. This was kind of all over the place..

My Savior. This past week has been interesting to say the least, between fights, parties, and homework time is just flying by. It’s getting close to the end of the quarter, and i have a ton of work to do before its over, so its time to stop watching so much damn one tree hill and get it over with. I think i caught garys cold so now im suffering, and im pretty sure kevins getting it next, so aviod our house at all costs. Im going to work soon then ill do the rest of my homework for tomorrow, then im going to sleep. SUPER early. Im tired, and i want to get over this sickness as soon as possible. Other than that hot mess there’s nothing else really going on here. Its abnormally warm here. 71 and sunny today. weird.

Amanda Palmer is pretty awesome. I’m really getting into her. Thanks to Jen. Im also going to see her at the Metro in December. So thats exciting. Another band I’m starting to listen to more is The Ettes. They are pretty sweet. Other than that I’ve been hanging out with Jen alot lately, and doing a lot of homework. Work is good, I really enjoy getting paid to play DDR and hang out with kids. Its a ton of fun. My only regret is that I didnt leave Fair Share sooner to find a sweet job like this. Im getting my new phone next week. Im really excited its going to be expensive as hell, but at least it wont turn off constantly when im in the middle of a conversation, plus it has a full out keyboard. So im going to be texting like crazy. Be ready.

It’s starting to get cold. It’s kinda nice. I can’t wait until Christmas! Kate will be here, Cora might be living here, we’re going to have an awesome new years party, its just going to be an awesome month. We’re going to a Halloween party november 1st. Its a saturday. Im excited. I got a super sweet costume. Wig and everything. Sweet hooker shoes. Its cool.

My childrens literature class is really awesome. I pretty much talk and convince people how amazing Harry Potter is. This one girl in my class loves it to, so we talk about it alot. Thats why I miss you Kate, I don’t really have anyone to talk to Harry Potter, or Buffy about. I dont know that Cora will appreciate it as much as we do. Well, off to my super ultra mega awesome job!
